Silver rose by 0.31 per cent to Rs 55,738 per kg on Tuesday
Tracking firming trend overseas, silver prices moved up by 0.31 per cent to Rs 55,738 per kg in futures trading today.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March rose by Rs 173, or 0.31 per cent, to Rs 55,738 per kg, with a business turnover of 2,735 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in May traded higher by Rs 165, or 0.29 per cent, to Rs 56,875 per kg, with a trade volume of 130 lots.
Market analysts said the rise in silver futures prices was mostly supported by a firming trend in the precious metals overseas.
Globally, silver prices rose by 0.47 per cent to USD 32.35 an ounce in New York last night. – PTI
