Silver prices recovered moderately at the bullion market today
Silver prices recovered moderately at the bullion market here today on renewed stockists demand amidst better off take from speculators and industrial users.
Gold moved up slightly on mild local buying interest. Silver ready (.999 fineness) rose by Rs 260 per kg to close at Rs 52,190 from last Saturday’s closing level of Rs 51,930.
Standard gold of 99.5 per cent purity edged up by Rs 15 to finish at Rs 27,470 per 10 grams from Rs 27,455.
Pure gold of 99.9 per cent purity improved by a similar margin to conclude at Rs 27,600 per 10 grams from Rs 27,585 previously.
In Europe, gold rose on last weekend downgrading of nine eurozone countries by standard & poor rating agency, while recovery in stock markets capped the gains.
Spot gold was bid up at USD 1,641.50 an ounce in early trade, while silver bid higher at USD 29.91 an ounce. – PTI
