Silver moved up by 0.49 per cent to Rs 52,571 per kg
Taking positive cues from global market, silver moved up by 0.49 per cent to Rs 52,571 per kg in futures trading today.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March rose by Rs 256, or 0.49 per cent, to Rs 52,571 per kg, with a business turnover of 1,576 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in May traded higher by Rs 251, or 0.47 per cent, to Rs 53,664 per kg, with a trade volume of 45 lots.
Market analysts said the rise in silver futures prices was mostly supported by a firming trend in the precious metals overseas.
In the Asian region, silver prices rose by 1 per cent to USD 30.29 an ounce in Singapore in early trade today. – PTI
