Prospero Silver bets on Magistral gold-silver extensions in Mexico
Prospero Silver (TSX-V: PSL) staked ground on strike from the historic Magistral gold-silver mine in Mexico.
Prospero Silver made the move after seeing, in remote sensing data, what it said are geologic structures beneath overburden that might be the continuation of veins that hosted gold mineralization at Magistral.
“The new lineament lies about 4 kilometres west of the historic Magistral vein system, which is approximately 6 kilometres in length,” Prospero Silver stated in a press release. “Both lineaments exhibit an average strike of N50 degrees W, which is the predominant trend of vein systems in the Mexican Altiplano.”
Prospero said historic reports suggest some two million tons ore @ 15 g/t gold were mined in the oxide portion of the Magistral del Oro vein system.
The first step to test its theory that the Magistral vein system may extend onto its now 6,353 hectare property will be a geophysics survey, Prospero said.
Prospero is calling the new property the Santa Maria del Oro project. – Mineweb
