China’s SHFE to launch silver futures soon
As expected, China’s Shanghai Futures Exchange(SHFE) is all set to launch the much awaited silver futures contract this year.
According to Jia Mingxing, vice secretary of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association,it
was now working with the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) and other departments on launching silver futures and that the product might be launched within this year.
He said despite the fact that four key non-ferrous metals (copper, lead, aluminum and zinc) have been traded at the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE), China’s futures variations are far less than those in international market.
The Shanghai Futures Exchange is now working to launch silver futures products, which will provides hedging services for enterprises, thus boosting further improvement of non-ferrous metal market and enhancing China’s pricing right in commodities. – BullionStreet
